Clock #8

General: Brass carriage clock. 36-hour, hour & half-hour strike, repeat function.

Maker: Waterbury Clock Co.

Model: ???

Date: Late 1800's - Early 1900's

Size: 4 1/2 inches high [including handle] x 3 inches wide.

Comments: I bought this little gem off eBay for $90. The back of the clock has a number of patent dates from 1889 to 1891, but I don't know how long after those dates this particular clock was made. It is NOT key wound, but instead winds and sets from the back like an old fashioned alarm clock. One especially nice feature of this clock [although one which I rarely use] is the little button on the top that activates the repeater function to chime the previous hour on demand.
